Super Rad (OTCQB FBCD) (OTC Markets FBCD) will be unveiling two new figures from its Plastic City division designed by MCA and Josh Taylor. MCA's Rainbow Man and Josh Taylor's Mary & Birtram figures are both ready to go in to production and Plastic City is planning to release them in October at the New York Comicon.
Plastic City is looking forward to releasing Josh Taylor's limited edition Comic book at this year's upcoming Comicon convention in San Diego, California. Josh will be making an appearance on Saturday July 23, 2011 at the Plastic City booth # 4835 to support his Comic Book release and to promote his first figure.
"We are very pleased to be working with MCA and Josh. They both have such unique styles that lend them selves to figures," said Christopher LeClerc, CEO of Super Rad Industries. LeClerc continues, "We expect great reviews from the sneak peak at Comicon next week."
Matt Albanese aka MCA has made a name for himself in the gallery world over the past few years. Aside from his highly successful collaboration show "Destroy You, NYC – MCA + MAGMO" at Orchard Street Gallery in Manhattan, he also recently had a solo show ("Simian Nation") in Boston at The Lab as well as taken part in a three man show (with Abe Lincoln Jr. & Ethos) at the Rotofugi Gallery in Chicago to name just a few. These days, MCA is most excited about his venture into the realm of toy design and has released over 70 of his toys so far.
JOSH TAYLOR was born in New Jersey and continued his journey into up-state New York and North Carolina before honing his art skills at Pratt Institute. Upon earning his degree, he traversed the country, from California to Vermont, pursuing his art career. His fine art has appeared in galleries in LA, NY, Europe, and the Philippines, and has also been featured in various publications worldwide. Taylor's current body of work focuses on the history, myths and legends of his "Gastonian Multiverse", an odd ancient doppelganger reality where the laws of physics and the very fabric of time and space are falling apart at the seams. He currently resides in Baltimore where he paints, pays for parking, and works on a series of graphic novels and web comics entitled Bird & Girl.
